I love this video, shows just how gentle gsd’s can be around smaller dogs,i have 2 gsd’s and they are just big playful puppies at the moment both have just turned a year old and wanna play play play but often owners of smaller dogs become anxious and lift them when we are around, does anyone else have this situation, how to socialise properly when others are ignorant of how gentle and playful they are just because they are a wee bit bigger??? Anyway love this video xxxxx
you should check out my other video of Cody and my yorkie, Travis. We put him on the ground immediately and he was only 3 pounds. I don’t think you’ll ever get anxious dog owners to not be anxious. I also don’t think it’s unwise of dog owners to pick up their small dog around a big dog when they are concerned. My yorkie sometimes gets stepped on, just because the shepherd isn’t looking where he’s going. You could just let them know that your dogs are super gentle and have never hurt anyone.
I love this Video, Who says two Male German Shepherds can’t get along.. I also have two Males. Kobe and Niko.. Niko is still puppyish not quite 2 and he is the Alpha Male but nothing a water bottle can’t handle. I also have a Dachshund and I know what you mean you have to be there to monitor what is going on. I raised Shepherds all my life and will die having them. Most loyal and Beautiful animals.
Mine got along ok until they were about 4. It was strange but I truly think Jesse was a working dog and we had nothing for him to do and he was bored and high strung. Cody was always playful and lazy (more like a lab) and I think Jesse was trying to keep him in line and Cody wasn’t having it. They say on the farm he’s happy cuz he gets to hang out with the goats! Cody’s still as playful and lazy as ever. Congrats on your dogs.
