How Old Was Your Labrador or Labrador Mix When He/She Died?

I just want to know cause mine is getting pretty old. I know she isn’t going to have a specific death age based on your dog’s, but I want to know the average age.

Don’t expect your dog to die. Just make the rest of his/her life a happy one!

My Jack, a chocolate brown retriever died all of a sudden reasons unknown, he was just 4.5 Years old, irony was that the doc who attended said he was healthy 8 hrs prior to his death, we miss him very badly.. i would suggest having fun with your lab as much as you can during every moment u spend with him.

I just had to put mine down at 16. And only cause she was hit by a car. You have a long way to go. She was an outside dog in a rural community and ran the North Carolina country side. The only time she came indoors was during thunderstorms. She was a great dog!!

I have Bruin, a 12 year old Yellow. He is our “son” and just as candie states above….we acknowledge his age and know that his years are short, but we are making sure these are the best and the happiest for him. I really believe he knows it (in a peculiar situation)…

They can live until they are 13 plus, but their eating habits can lead to earlier death.
