If any dog owners are ever interested in feeding their dogs homemade dog food, I found a pretty neat site called http://www.alldogfoodrecipes.com

It has a nice layout and you can easily submit your own favorite recipes from raw, to meals to treats.

They can! I had an Artic Wolf that I had to put down just yesterday due to bloat. He ate a raw diet and I was so carefull to moniter his exersize. But now he is gone. So yes, that can get it. It's just not as common as dogs.

Who said wolves don't die of bloat?? It is less common though because they eat a diet that is less likely to allow excess gas to build up in the stomach...

Yes a Lab can die of bloat...

Feed him 2 smaller meals a day and use a high quality dog food...lower quality dog food cause more gas production during the digestive process.

Bloat is excess gas that builds up and distends the stomach....Torsion is the stomach flipping over on itself...torsion is different although it is related to bloat. Torsion can be avoided by eliminating exercise after meals.
