We named our yellow Lab “Otis”,the one who hears well. Otis means “the ear” in Latin. The dog has lived up to his name. He is ten years old today and has followed us around the world to Japan. Kids and neighbors love him as he is so responsive to human interaction. Having that said: Without a couple rounds of puppy training (till we reached “canine good citizen at age 2 1/2) this dog sad to say would be on a leash in the backyard.

My girl is called Dee Dee, after Doris Day (another gorgeous blond and a champion for animals). I also think the names Halo (as in an angels’ halo) and Luna would be nice names for a Yellow Lab.

I have a white labrador well i guess their actually called yellow labs but anyway i named my dog otis… It’s a VERY special name to me:) But i only have one question… Do you actually have to pick out your labs name? Are you supposed to name him what your told or have a list of names to choose from?

I like the names you have here. I wish I had seen your site a couple of weeks ago…Sonika,and Orianna are really nice names. I think they would have suited my dog fine. As it is, we named her Kelsey. Yes it does have to do with the restaurant. No matter though, I think we will be getting another dog in the future and I will keep those names on hand… Even if it turns out we get a black puppy instead…
